Media Industries

Publishing:

The occupation or activity of preparing and issuing books, journals, and other material for sale. EG Author House, Infility Publishing, BookLocker etc.

Magazines:

A periodical publication containing articles and illustrations, typically covering a particular subject. EG Hello,

Newspapers:

A printed publication consisting of folded unstapled sheets and containing news, feature articles, advertisements, and correspondence

Animation:

A simulation of movement created by displaying a series of pictures, or frames. Cartoons on television is one example of animation. 

Film:

Capture on film as part of a series of moving images; make a movie of a story or event. Its basically making movies.

Television:

A system for transmitting visual images and sound that are reproduced on screens, chiefly used to broadcast programmes for entertainment.

Web 2.0:

Web 2.0 is the term given to describe a second generation of the "World Wide Web" that is focused on the ability for people to collaborate and share information online.

Music:

The art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. The music industry or music business consists of the companies and individuals that make money by creating and selling music. EG Radio 1, kiss 100, Capital, Heart etc.

Radio:

Transmission of programs for the public by radio broadcast.

Video Games:

Electronics, any of various games that can be played by using an electronic control to move points of light or graphical symbols on the screen of a visual display unit

Facilities:

Space or equipment necessary for doing something that are rented out.
